The process
with our specialized 6-color printer which has a unique type of ink that turns into a gas when exposed to heat and pressure.
As the ink turns into a gas it penetrates the surface of the polymer-based coating on the aluminum panel. The heat and pressure embeds the ink into the coating. Once the heat and pressure are removed the ink reverts to a solid state, permanently bonding with the polymer coating on the panel.
Once the sublimation process is complete the aluminum panel is allowed to cool. The sublimated image is now an integral part of the panel’s surface and is highly durable. The finished product is vibrant, the colors are vivid and the details are sharp.
The sublimated image is scratch-resistant and can withstand various environmental conditions, ensuring your investment in art will last for many years.
