MY STORY

Alexander Kippe is the visionary founder and artist behind A+Pic, specializing in the capture and meticulous editing of fine artwork. Raised in South Florida, Alexander cherished summers at his family’s multigenerational cabin in Northern Michigan, embracing his heritage as a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. This profound connection with nature inspired him to take one of his first professional underwater photographs—a basket star—during a night-time scuba dive in the Atlantic Ocean at the age of 15. This marked the beginning of his lifelong commitment to art that harmonizes natural beauty with creative expression.

Alexander’s journey culminated in the establishment of Torch Lake Gallery – Bay Harbor Collection, a world-class fine art destination, an exclusive venue thoughtfully crafted to present his creations with unparalleled elegance. The gallery’s name derives from the Native American term “Waswaaganing,” meaning “Place of Torches.” This pays homage to ancestral fishing practices where torches were used at night to attract fish, reflecting his profound connection to heritage and light.`

Alexander ensures that each collector receives a unique and immersive artistic experience by embracing a hands-on approach to every facet of his artistry. From initial image capture to cinematic enhancement, HD museum-quality sublimation development on aluminum panels—a hallmark of his process—and meticulous in-house framing, his dedication to excellence is evident.

Beyond his private clientele, Alexander has captured the interest of the commercial arena with his 360-degree photography and video experiences, including Matterport, as well as his stunning creative art installations. His works currently adorn prominent establishments such as Bay Harbor Company properties, and SIP, a renowned wine bar, where his installations enhance the inherent beauty of these venues.

Alexander’s unwavering dedication to the arts is exemplified by his contributions to the community. He donated “Ocean’s Whisper: Sunrise on Las Olas Beach” to the Crooked Tree Art Center’s Dart for Art event, supporting local artistic endeavors.

His contributions to the artistic discourse have been recognized in esteemed publications like RESIDE and Golden Coast Connoisseurs Magazine, highlighting his impact on both local and national levels.
